Safety & Handling

Effective 15 August 2026

This page covers the physical handling of these materials as laboratory reagents. It is not preparation guidance for use in a person or an animal. We do not publish dosing, reconstitution-for-administration, or protocol information, and we will not provide it on request through any channel.

1. Treat as a research chemical of unknown hazard

Toxicological properties have not been fully characterised for many of these compounds. Handle every item as though its hazards are unknown.

A safety data sheet ships with every order. Read it before opening the vial.

2. Storage

Lyophilized

−20 °C, sealed, protected from light. Stable for the interval stated on the lot certificate. Allow vials to reach room temperature before opening, or condensation will form in the cake and shorten its life.

In solution

Stability in solution is markedly shorter than in the lyophilized state and is sequence dependent. Aliquot before freezing to avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles — a common cause of apparent potency loss between experiments.

3. Solubility

Sequence dependent. Sterile water suits many sequences; hydrophobic sequences may need a small volume of an organic co-solvent before dilution into buffer. Solubility notes are given per lot on the certificate.

4. Weighing and net peptide content

Net peptide content is reported separately from gross fill weight on the certificate. Counterion and residual solvent mean the two figures differ, and any calculation that ignores the difference will be wrong.

5. Spills

Restrict access. Avoid raising dust — do not sweep dry powder. Collect with a damp wipe or a HEPA vacuum rated for fine powders, place in a sealed labelled container, and dispose of as laboratory chemical waste. Decontaminate the surface and ventilate.

6. Accidental exposure

Skin: remove contaminated clothing, wash with soap and water.
Eyes: irrigate with water for at least 15 minutes, holding the eyelids open.
Inhalation: move to fresh air.
Ingestion: do not induce vomiting; rinse the mouth.

In every case, seek medical attention and take the safety data sheet and the vial label with you. In the United States, Poison Control can be reached on 1-800-222-1222.

7. Disposal

Dispose of as laboratory chemical waste under your institution's procedures and applicable local regulation. Do not pour to drain or discard in municipal refuse. Deface labels on empty vials before disposal.

8. What we do not supply

We do not sell, bundle, recommend, or ship syringes, needles, bacteriostatic water, sterile water for injection, or any other administration equipment, and we do not provide dosing or administration guidance of any kind.

If you are considering any of these compounds in connection with your own health, speak to a licensed physician. They can tell you what is actually approved for your situation, what is still under investigation, and what the real risks are. Nothing sold or published here is a substitute for that conversation.
